iNFOiSLIVE and Taiwan's KG Telecom become strategic partners

iNFOiSLIVE and KG Telecom have reached a formal alliance. iNFOiSLIVE will form strategic partnership with KG Telecom on game development. The companies also agree to cooperate on the development of different applications based on the GPRS technology.

A formal business alliance has been made between iNFOiSLIVE, the leading wireless ASP in Hong Kong, and KG Telecom in Taiwan, one of the largest mobile operators in Taiwan, in early November. Under the alliance, iNFOiSLIVE will become the preferential application developer of KG Telecom on wireless applications. KG Telecom will also offer infrastructure support to iNFOiSLIVE in the development of GPRS applications. On the other hand, GameisLive, the wholly-owned subsidiary of iNFOiSLIVE, will provide different wireless games to KG Telecom.

KG Telecom is the first mobile operator in Taiwan to launch GPRS. By exchanging the experiences on application development, iNFOiSLIVE and KG Telecom will cooperate to develop innovative wireless services. In the first phase in December, iNFOiSLIVE will provide 12 different wireless games to KG Telecom and will start to develop cross-platform games on WAP, WEB and PDA, etc. Later, both parties will jointly develop various GPRS and cross-platform applications.

iNFOiSLIVE entered the Taiwan market in August this year. Currently, subscribers of Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Cellular Coproration, Far Eastone Telecommunication and Mobitai Telecommunication are already experiencing the games of iNFOiSLIVE. By cooperating with different mobile operators in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Macau and Europe, iNFOiSLIVE is a wireless ASP with a vision on the global market.

KG Telecom is an experienced GSM1800 telecommunication service provider in Taiwan. It is a subsidiary of the Koos Group, who focuses on satellite, CATV, wired and wireless broadband communications systems in Taiwan. KG Telecom obtained the first private GSM1800 mobile service license in Taiwan in December 1997 and acquired Tuntex Telecom, another major operator in Taiwan, to provide island-wide GSM1800 service in January 1999.
